The production of food requires maximum precision – and this starts with the right sharpening. Perfectly sharpened cutting tools are the key to consistently high product quality.
To meet these requirements, KNECHT develops innovative, sophisticated and customized complete solutions. The company is continuously expanding its portfolio to provide companies of all sizes with the best possible grinding technology.
At this year's IFFA in Frankfurt, KNECHT will be presenting its broad portfolio, which ranges from high-precision sharpening machines with 6-axis robots for industry to manual solutions for butcher’s shops. Quality and efficiency are not only crucial in large-scale production, but also in the traditional butcher's trade.
As a special highlight, visitors to our stand will be able to experience the entire portfolio of grinding machines from ZAHND Schleiftechnik GmbH Switzerland. ZAHND knife grinding machines are perfectly tailored for use by craftsmen. This underlines the high relevance of craft businesses for KNECHT. We are very pleased that ZAHND is part of the KNECHT Group since 2025.
In addition to quality and efficiency, our focus is also on sustainability. KNECHT products are known for their durability and, thanks to their high precision, help to extend the service life of cutting tools and conserve resources. With its innovative technologies, the company ensures that butchers and industrial companies can work more efficiently, safely and sustainably.
One example of a significant contribution to sustainability is the family of fully automatic E 50 R and E 50 RT hand knife grinding machines from KNECHT. These work with robotic technology and guarantee precise, accurately ground knives over their entire service life. Perfectly sharpened hand knives allow more precise cuts. This leads to an increase in meat yield of up to 0.5% compared to conventional manual sharpening. With a meat production of 10,000 tons, this corresponds to an additional yield of 50 tons. This technology also lowers the risk of accidents and reduces absences due to musculoskeletal disorders (MSDs and RSI) by up to 80% (source: ANAGO Ltd.).
The manual Sharpening Machine A 400 also sets standards in terms of efficiency and precision. It is extremely easy to operate and produces top quality bevels on sickle knives ground on one side. Cutting tools up to a size of approx. 1000 mm are ground and deburred in a single operation.
Perfectly ground cutting tools? KNECHT is your reliable partner for the entire food processing industry.
We cordially invite you to visit us at IFFA 2025 in Hall 8.0 Stand A 55 and get an impression of our state-of-the-art grinding technology for all sizes of operations.
