The use of cutting tools in meat processing requires considerable skill and knowledge. KNECHT is a leader in the field, and our clients benefit from our expertise. In addition to superior grinding services, we provide our clients with comprehensive documentation and advice. The wear and tear on grinding tools when processing meat is quite high due to the extreme centrifugal, lateral and turning pressures. The use of chemicals can also lead to corrosion.
At KNECHT, all knives are first checked for cracks, corrosion and other abrasions. Findings are documented in a grinding protocol, so that the client can see exactly how far away the knife is from the abrasion limit.
The regrinding process is fully automatic and water-cooled to ensure optimal cutting geometry and protect the knife from overheating. All cutting tools are grinded and returned within 24 hours.
